As with my previous conversation, I chose to have this conversation over gchat. I chose this topic because I know that "ambiguous" will definitely not be one of the words that would spring to their minds when any of my friends think of me. It was more of a personal experiment to find out if I could pass off an uncharacteristic behavior to my friends. So, I started talking. I started off typing in the language that I don't really talk in. Then I again changed the topic abruptly twice. After a brief while, I got a " Are you drunk?". Then I moved on to my next friend. It went something like this.
Me: hey how is it going
Him: good good
Me: ok then
Him: huh? whats up with the formalities and all
Me: nothing man
how is the weather there
Him: weather?? really?
Me: Did you go to the gym?
Him: yesterday, yeah.. not today
i should be doing 6 days a week but i do only about 3
Me: Did you speak with Sanjay* at all?
* Sanjay is a mutual friend/acquaintance that both of have not spoken to in a while.
Him: Sanjay? no.. been a long time
Me: man Kejriwal actually won
how wicked is that
Him: yeah.. what about sanjay?
Me: Nothing why, do you know something?
Him: you're the one who brought him up.. so let me see, how's it going, then the weather and then current politics
are you alright?
I told him what was going on after that, and he too thought I was drunk or something.
I wonder if I had treaded to closely to incoherent than being just ambiguous.
A failed attempt at ambiguous conversation!
