Onboarding flow: Ingredients
Satiate is an app that persuades people to cook at home as opposed to eating take out everyday. We identified time taken and availability of ingredients as the two of the main factors that dissuade people from cooking at home. This app address both in a subtle way to increase the probability of one cooking at home.
Through smart notifications at the right time, this app tries to plant the idea of cooking earlier in the day, so the user subconsciously commits to the idea of cooking that day.
It presents recipes based on time taken to cook and suggests you to pick up the ingredients you may not have at home. The app learns your pattern and suggestions get better with use. It even has a recipe timer system to plan the cooking process efficiently.
Since most of our target demographic has a set ingredient list, we wanted to find that out from a simple onboarding process. Users choose the cuisines the most like to cook. Based on this, they choose proteins, bread, veggies etc. This populates the user feed and the algorithm takes over to learn from usage.
